Senior Children's Residential Care Worker – Doncaster

Salary: £35,848–£38,028 per annum
Hours: 173 hours per month | 2 days on, 4 days off, including sleep-ins

Salary & Benefits

  • £35,848–£38,028 per annum, including sleep-ins paid at £60 per sleep
  • Hourly rate of £13.80–£14.85 depending on qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 12 months' experience in a children's residential care home
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Full right to work in the UK without restrictions
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, expectations and best practice
  • A therapeutic, person-centred approach to childcare
  • Applicants must be aged 21 or over
  • Nurturing, supportive and resilient approach with the ability to build positive, trusting relationships

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and support to young people within a nurturing residential environment
  • Build positive relationships and empower young people to flourish and achieve their potential
  • Support young people's educational, emotional and developmental needs
  • Provide trauma-informed, therapeutic care and crisis intervention
  • Encourage young people to engage in hobbies, interests and personalised activities
  • Promote independence, positive outcomes and emotional wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to ensure young people's needs are met
  • Promote equality, inclusion and respect while challenging discriminatory behaviour or practice
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, care and compliance with Ofsted expectations
  • Successful employment is subject to enhanced DBS, right-to-work and reference checks, with DBS costs covered
